In Italy wine is made to be drunk with food.
The importance of
this cannot be over stated, red wines in particular can be raised up and
enhanced by the accompaniment of some food.
Individual wines don't need to be exclusively matched with particular foods, but for maximum enjoyment all should be accompanied with food, even if its a slice of cheese or some nice quality crisps. You will find that food can bring balance to a wine. |

The match between particular food and particular wines is called L'abbinamento in Italian and here is a list of recipes that we feel match our wines perfectly. They are all recipes we use on a day to day basis and include some of my personal favourites such as Pasta Carbonara, and Pasta alla Siciliana. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. |
