Villa Matilde is a small agricultural firm situated on the hills of the "Massico", heart of the old production area of the historical wine "Falerno".  Its reputation was firmly established by the Neopolitan lawyer Francis Avellone who, 45 years ago, dedicated himself to vine production in an attempt to recreate the great roman wine of "Falerno".

Villa Matilde is focused on tradition and attempting to recreate the iconic wines of Rome, and at the same time its striving to enhance all the noble varieties of Campania.  To do this it has recently expanded by purchasing new land in the Benevento and Avellino provinces, where it is  trying new productions of Fiano, Falanghina and Greco di Tufo.
