Cantine Farro
Campi Flegrei Piedirosso
|
Cantine Farro dedicate themselves to only two grape varieties, both of which are ancient and were well documented since before the time of the roman empire. One is the Falanghina white grape and the other is Piedirosso. Piedirosso produces a soft light bodied wine that is reminiscent of Beaujolais, light cherry flavours with some strawberry and raspberry character. One of its alternative names is 'Per' 'e Palummo'; which traditions says it received from the colour of its grape stalk which is the same as that of a dove's foot. |
