Taurasi is finest expression of the Aglianico grape and is known as the Borolo of the south for its body, structure and its dry and austere nature. Mastroberdardino's Taurasi was awarded the sommelier association of Italy's highest award of five grapes out of five. Awarded two red glasses by "Italian wines 2007" it recieved 91 parker points from the wine advocate, this is generally accepted as being the best example of a Taurasi.
