The most widely planted grape in the Fruili Venezia Giulia region, and from one of the regions new up and coming cantines, this Tocai Friulano is full of crisps clean flavours.  In case you are wondering its got nothing to do with either France's Tokay d'Alsace or Hungary's Tokajii.  Rather it is actually thought to be a relative of the Sauvignon blanc grape.

This wine has been awarded the second highest award available from the sommeliers association of Italy, "4 grapes" as well as the Gambero Rosso's second highest award of 2 Red Glasses.
